Lucid Dreams
Jennie Bryant
Book Overview
In the smoky underbelly of Seattle shrouded in darkness, Seth Theophylact was once a rising star—an ambitious district attorney with a sharp mind and a heart full of hope. But everything changed the night he lost Jenny, the love of his life, to the relentless grip of demonic forces. She was taken, body and soul, by creatures from the depths of nightmare, and no matter how hard Seth tried, he couldn't save her.
Now, drowning in whiskey and regret, Seth is a shadow of his former self. The now dedicated private investigator has become a cynical, hard-drinking wreck, haunted by visions of Jenny’s final moments and the demons that stole her. His only solace comes from the bottom of a bottle, as he tries to numb the pain of a world that no longer makes sense. But the demons haven't given up on him. They know Seth is a man who once came too close to the truth—closer than anyone ever should—and they're not done with him yet.
When a new case lands on his desk, men going missing tied to a new dating app, Seth is dragged back into the world he tried to escape. The deeper he dives, the more he realizes Jenny's death was no accident. It was part of a much larger scheme—one that may tie his fate to the demons forever. Now, Seth must confront the twisted underworld of evil beings, the memories of the woman he lost, and his own fractured mind. The line between man and monster begins to blur as Seth seeks redemption and answers, but the question remains: can a man who's already lost everything save himself from the dark forces he once tried to fight?
